Rita Kostopoulos is an experienced bankruptcy attorney and the founder of Kostopoulos Bankruptcy Law. For more than two decades, she has helped individuals and families understand serious financial problems, creditor pressure, and bankruptcy options with clarity, professionalism, and compassion.
Rita began her legal career in Michigan. In 2004, she founded Kostopoulos & Associates after recognizing the need for ethical, client-focused bankruptcy representation. Since then, her firms have filed thousands of bankruptcy cases and helped clients take steps toward financial stability.
In 2013, Rita expanded her practice to California by establishing Kostopoulos Law Group PC to serve clients throughout Northern California. Today, she continues to lead a multistate bankruptcy practice serving clients in Michigan and California.
Rita’s work focuses on helping clients understand how bankruptcy may provide legal protection when debt becomes serious. This includes Chapter 7 bankruptcy, Chapter 13 bankruptcy, the automatic stay, wage garnishment, foreclosure concerns, repossession risks, creditor lawsuits, and other debt-related problems.

She is licensed to practice in both Michigan and California and has been a Certified Consumer Bankruptcy Specialist through the American Board of Certification since 2009.
